RenamePlayer command

Renames the player identified by their in-game string name (<"PlayerName">) to <NewName>.

Argument information
  • <"Player Name">type: text

    The exact in-game name of the target player.

  • <New Name>type: text

    The new name to set — wrap it in double quotes if it contains spaces.

Examples

This command renames the player currently named "Bobby" (matched by their in-game string name) to Roberto.

Using cheats on a server

On a multiplayer server, authenticate first with enablecheats <password>, and prefix admin commands with admincheat instead of cheat.
