How imprinting works
A baby asks for a cuddle every 8 hours at default settings, divided by both your cuddle-interval and mature-speed multipliers — so a faster maturation gives proportionally more frequent cuddles. Each cuddle grants 100% ÷ cuddle count imprint, multiplied by the imprint-amount setting, so with the default amount every cuddle adds an even slice that reaches exactly 100%.
Raising the imprint amount lets you hit 100% with fewer cuddles, which is handy on boosted servers. The danger zone is very fast maturation: if a baby grows up in well under a cuddle interval there's no window to imprint at all. Small creatures with short raise times are the usual culprits when imprint won't budge.
