How kibble works in ARK: Survival Ascended
ARK: Survival Ascended replaced ARK: Survival Evolved's dozens of per-creature kibbles with a clean six-tier ladder. You cook each tier in a Cooking Pot or Industrial Cooker, and the only thing that changes per craft is the egg size — any creature's egg of the required size works, so you're no longer hunting one specific dino's egg.
Higher tiers grant more taming affinity, so a creature tames in fewer feeds and keeps more bonus levels. When in doubt, feed the highest tier you can craft — pair this with the taming calculator to see exactly how many you need.
- Basic Kibble— early small tames — dilos, dodos, lystros
- Simple Kibble— mid-tier tames — raptors, pteranodons, parasaurs
