Flyers ARE allowed here, but if any survivor brings a flying tame OR a shoulder pet the Manticore refuses to land and stays airborne, drastically lengthening the fight (avoid light shoulder pets like Glowtails/Featherlights). Deathworms spawn from the ground, so raised platforms help. The Manticore has comparatively low health but is highly mobile.
Strategy & recommended tames
Wyverns let you fight it in the air, but the cleaner approach is bringing only ground tames so it lands and can be focused. Rexes with a Yutyrannus courage buff work well; keep tames on rock platforms to dodge ground-spawning Deathworms. Because its health is low, getting it to land matters more than raw DPS.
Place the tribute in the boss terminal to open the portal — items are consumed on summon. The summon command spawns the boss directly for admins (cheats enabled).
